2A Support — frequently asked questions
What is 2A Support?+
2A Support is fundraising technology for the 2A community: create a free account, publish a fundraising page, take donations online and follow up with every supporter from your own back office. It is a payment and marketing service — it does not run, verify or guarantee any fundraiser and is not a charity.
How much does 2A Support cost?+
Starting is free; 2A Support keeps a 6% platform fee from each donation. The Grow plan ($99/month) adds a drip email sequence, Claude-written email drafts and contacts.plus referrals, and the Done-for-you outreach plan ($1,500/month) adds our team running outreach for you. The 6% fee applies on every plan.
When do organizers get paid?+
Donations received in a calendar month are paid out on the 15th of the following month, minus the 6% platform fee; refunded donations are not paid out. Each organizer's back office shows the amount due and the payout date.
Are donations through 2A Support tax-deductible?+
No, not unless the organizer is a registered charity such as a 501(c)(3) and says so on its page — and even then, donors should confirm the organization's status with the IRS Tax Exempt Organization Search. Gifts to individuals, clubs and most advocacy groups are generally not deductible.
Can I donate anonymously?+
Yes — tick “Show my gift as anonymous” and your name and message won't appear on the page. The organizer still receives your name and email so they can thank you and send a receipt.
What happens if a fundraiser is misleading?+
Every organizer attests that their story is true and that funds will be used as described. 2A Support can pause or suspend a page and hold its payout while a concern is reviewed — use the contact form to report one.
Do I need a website or technical skills?+
No. You write your story, add a photo and a goal, and your page is live at 2a.support/f/your-page — ready to share by text, email or social media.
